With New England Dragway closed the past weekend to allow them to make preparations for the TascaParts.com NHRA New England Nationals presented by Bandero Premium Tequila racers in the region had a choice, take a week off or head to another track to satisfy their need for speed.
Lebanon Valley Dragway was rained out on Wednesday night, but sunny weather prevailed for Saturday and Sunday. The bracket points racers had a week off, with Saturday featuring eliminators for Northeast Old Drag Racers and Musclecar Assoc. (NODRAMA), and Gamblers races for Electronic and Non-Electronic cars. Sunday the track hosted the Import Face-Off series, with eliminators in seven classes and a well-attended import car show.
New Oxford Dragway had six winners in their Friday night bracket points program, including Jr. Dragsters. In addition, they ran a Dialing For Dollars race, with prize money for the driver who ran closest to their dial-in during a special one-round eliminator.
Winterport Dragway hosted the Coastal Mustang Cruise on Saturday and held their weekly bracket points race on Sunday.
Also on Saturday, the Northeast Motorsports Museum at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon hosted the New Hampshire Muscle Car Association car show. Part of that event was a six-car Funny Car display and mini-cacklefest.
